How to Test If You Believe What You THINK You Believe

This is some  powerful stuff my pretties!  Are you ready to learn where you are fooling yourself?  Wanna know where you aren’t quite as ‘together’ as you previously thought you were?  Now, I don’t mean to throw water on your party, but I do know this….if you have hidden beliefs that are not in alignment with your goals, you will never achieve what you want.

There’s no other way to say it but that.

We walk around putting all our time, energy and money into desires  for our life and business, but can’t figure out why it’s not working.

I can tell you why.

It’s because a part of you doesn’t resonate with that.

It’s like this…if you focus on creating a $200,000/yr income, yet a part of you doesn’t believe that you deserve that level of success, no matter what you do, you won’t get that income.  Oh, you may be able to get it…but you are quickly going to lose it.

Let me tell you a story – about a  year and a half ago I went to a training with Gary de Rodriguez who is a fabulous NLP trainer.  He gave us a list of positive beliefs we were to circle if we thought we resonated with and believed we owned. These were statements like, “I deserve love and happiness….Money flows to me now” and other typical affirmative statements.

So being a bit cocky and having done LOADS and LOADS of personal growth myself, I happily circled 27 our of 30 that I just knew I believed to my core. No problemo…

Next he taught us to muscle test, and then say the statements with the muscle testing to see if we RESONATED with them or not.

Imagine my surprise when at least half of those 30 I didn’t resonate with.  That meant that all this time I’m thinking I’m so ‘cooked’ in terms of doing all the years of therapy, personal and professional work….I still had these beliefs that were lurking in the background of my psyche, sabotaging me from moving forward.

YOWZA!

But this now makes sense as to why folks work so hard and still can’t get ahead.  And doing this muscle testing stuff is changing the way I work with my clients.  So I’m including this video that is part of the Inner Guru Toolkit.**  This is from the program I run with Molly Luffy – The Inner Guru Experience.  The video will show you how to muscle test, but first I want you to do the exercise I mentioned earlier.

Write down 10 beliefs you THINK you have or would like to adopt.  Here are a few examples:

I deserve success

I easily earn $_________________fill in the blank

I give myself permission to be wealthy

I attract the perfect clients to me now

Money comes easily to me

All my needs are taken care of

I am the perfect weight

I have vibrant health

Alright, now what the video and see if you REALLY believe those things!

Next…I’d love if you share your experiences with me.  Feel free to put a comment on the blog.

Blessings!

**If you want to know more about the Inner Guru Toolkit, let me know and I’ll get you the info.  It’s a fabulous program.

The 4 Step Formula for Growing a Business You Will Love

Marketing, sales, Twitter, networking, VA’s, accounting, advertising…oh my!

It seems like there are endless things that need to be in place in order to get that business of yours to move from being like the middle school kid who has loads of potential (but a little disorganized and wacky at times) to the Ivy League graduate who is self sufficient and bringing home the dough.

What does it take? I’m asked all the time where to start. Is the key in putting more time, energy or money into marketing? Or will getting a great virtual assistant (VA) finally unlock all the pieces? There are so many possibilities.

boldBut here’s the deal – you need a formula. Actually, you need my formula. Thanks to some great coaching from my friend and mastermind partner, Shawn Driscoll, I now have a formula that encompasses the work I do, and makes tons of sense. I call it the B.O.L.D formula for getting you and your business out there in a much bigger way.

The first place we start in the formula is in the area of beliefs, blocks and barriers.

What I know is that this is the secret sauce to make any coaching or marketing program get results. So many people have limiting beliefs that completely derail them, yet have no idea that this is why they see only marginal success. When you blast those limiting beliefs away, and then do the work to install ones that support your vision, you can begin to create the foundation that becomes a really strong container for you to put your dreams and goals in.

How do we do this? I have loads of techniques, but part of it starts with muscle testing. If you are interested, I’d be happy to send you the “how to use muscle testing” video I did as part of the Inner Guru Experience where we teach this in much more detail. Just shoot me an email by clicking here and you can start working with one of the most powerful tools I know. This can be eye opening for you to learn which beliefs you resonate with or not. (Be warned…it might surprise you!)

Next we have you own it!

You first own your vision. Is it yours, or is it someone else’s for you? Have you checked that this vision fits with your values and priorities? If not, there will be a part of you that will sabotage it, so make sure you do that work.

After you own your vision, you own your expertise. Yes, you MUST be positioning yourself as an expert. Some people balk at that word, but look at it this way. Who makes more, a pediatric cardiologist, or a family doc? Who is perceived as more knowledgeable – the generalist, or the specialist? Too many people undervalue themselves, and that’s one of the main things that I love to hammer away on with my clients.

And finally, you own your unique style. This is where marketing gets fun. If you are trying to do it like everyone else, you risk being invisible. If you are trying to ‘be professional’ your audience won’t resonate with you. I can’t say it enough…put your personality into everything you do with your marketing and your business. This way, the perfect clients will be really drawn to you.

The first two steps are the Inner Game work, and now we move to the Outer Game pieces.

After you understand what you want to do and put your unique spin on it, we look at ways you leverage your time, energy and money. This is where we make the assessment of what tasks you should be doing, and what things you should outsource. Remember – just because you can do something, doesn’t mean you should! If you are a chiropractor and you are sitting around on the weekend putting up web pages or trying to do your own bookkeeping, you are missing the boat. Let someone who loves to do that stuff take it, and apply your time to what you can uniquely do that either no one else can, or is a revenue generator.

Here’s my coaching challenge to you…look at your business to try to find where you could gain 5 hours a week for yourself. What tasks would you have to peel off in order for that to happen? Outsource those, and in that extra 5 hours, do something that is either marketing related, or is bringing in more money for you. That could mean you spend more time writing, or possibly networking. Answer this question for yourself – “If I had more hours in the week, what three things would I work on to grow my business?”

And finally, we work on designing a business that you will love. This is where we also factor in your values, mission, goals, and dreams. This is where your legacy comes in, and where you put your stamp in the world. What kind of business model would you like? Is it a service biz, or an info-marketing biz, or perhaps a brick and mortar biz?

Designing a business that serves YOU is the most rewarding thing…but it takes courage! First, you have to know what you want, and next you have to be fiercely committed to seeing that through. This is where the dreaming happens. The crazy, out-of-the-box “what could I have if anything were possible” types of questions. Doesn’t that get you excited? I hope so! Because the world needs what you have to offer.

Trying to get new clients? Take better care of the ones you have

Tonight I interviewed Dr. Ira Bloomfield for his teleseminar about the top four marketing mistakes physicians and urgent care owners make.  He did an awesome job and one of the points he talked about what the chase for always trying to get new people in the door, at the expense of keeping happy your old customers/clients/patients.

Let’s look at this…

Most business owners spend the bulk of their marketing time and money on trying to find ways to get new folks in the door.  But do you know who your very best sales force is?  The loyal folks that are currently your clients.  These are the ones that you should be spending your money on so they know that you appreciate them.

Now for the biggie – do you regularly ask your clients to refer to you?  Do they even know you want to take on more business?  (This is where some business owners start squirming…this asking for the referral part.)

You can do it a few different ways.  The best is in person.  Say you are speaking with your client and they tell you how much they have gained from doing business with you.  In that moment, you ask, “Do you know of two other people who would like to get these results as well?”  Notice I said to ask for a specific number.  If you ask for “anyone you know” that is too broad.  Give them an easier time by asking for one or two names.

The next way is the more indirect way.  You can write up a short blurb in a newsletter, or send out a mailer with a few business cards. Telephone-results Think about how people love to share when they find a great resource.  Why would you happy clients not want to tell others about  you?

According to Ira, you sort of owe it to the world to get your work out there, and most of your clients would love to share what great service you gave.  Your task?  To get up enough courage to create a referral system and begin to ask.

Another way to get some momentum in your biz?  Go back through your old customer list.  Again, no use in using the resources you have with trying to get new business if you have not made contact with folks who have used you before.  You can call, send an email, or maybe  a postcard.  The best thing to do is obviously to call and let them know you are thinking of them.  Maybe you share a new program or service, but mostly…just call to say ‘hey’ and see how they are doing.  You’ll be surprised at how many come back if you approach this with a genuine interest in their well being.

The final piece?  You’ll want to calendar this.  Make it a system, a scheduled task and a “must do” and you will begin to see some great results.

Blessings!

Your Clients Are NOT Buying What You Are Selling!

Crazy title, ‘ey?

Where did I get such lunacy?  From hanging out with my sales trainer friends.  Ya see, being a psychotherapist and life coach gave me zero preparation on how to sell my services.  So a few years ago when I entered the wonderful world of entrepreneurs, I had one steep learning curve!  I was blessed to study with Eric Lofholm, but it was my time spent with Michael Goodman of AZ Sales Pros that really drove this point home for me.

This is where we come to the concept that your clients aren’t buying what you are selling.  Most of us get so addicted to ’selling our services’ that we forget to look at it from the consumer’s end.  Let me give you some examples…

If you are an acupuncturist, is your client buying acupuncture?  No, what they are really buying is relief from pain or whatever their symptom is that brought them in.  Does a chiropractor sell chiropractic care?  No, their patients buy health, longevity, relief from stress/pain/fatigue, and a whole host of other benefits.

And we coaches DO NOT sell coaching!  We sell business acceleration, revenue generation, results amplification, marketing plans, hands_money.xlargefulfillment, freedom, etc.

Get the drift?

Now it’s your turn.  Make a list and write all the thing you sell (like your products or services) on one half a sheet of paper.

Next, ask yourself, “As a result of consuming this, what exactly is it that these clients are ‘buying?’  Put this on the other half of the paper.

If you can answer that, you are on your way to being able to use the correct marketing language to attract your ideal buyers.

Oh, and if you aren’t sure?  ASK your market!  There is nothing more powerful than asking your clients what they have gotten as a result of working with you.  Those are the golden nuggets that will help you understand exactly what you are ’sellling and what they have been buying.’

My story?  A few years ago I asked a client of mine this very question.  She was one that came to me and didn’t even have a concept for a business, but she said that as a result of working with me she felt like she was five years ahead of any business owner who would have started on that same day.  She pointed out that I shortened her learning curve, and helped her accelerate her results.  The funny thing…I had no idea I was doing that!  I knew the tangible aspects like helping her in the start up phase and all the mindset stuff we did to get her to own the role she was now taking on, but accelerating her results?  Who knew!  It was really powerful for me to have that tangible deliverable, so you bet I always ask my clients that magical question these days.

I encourage you to do the same so you can discover what a rock star you really are.

Want me to sick the “Word Police” on ya?

True confession time….

I don’t listen like most people.  25 years of being a psychotherapist has given me a bit of an ‘edge’ when it comes to hearing what’s said, what’s not said, and the energy around all of that.

So when I hear language that screams out a really faulty belief under the surface, you bet I release out my inner bloodhound and jump all over that!

Like the other day when I had a session with a client and we were discussing why she priced her product so low.  What she said about threw me out of my chair.

“Everyone knows women are cheap.”

I let it roll the first few times, but when she tried to use that again to justify her unrealistically low price point, I could no longer sit there!

Ya see, this is where my head goes -

If you have that belief, then YOU GET TO BE RIGHT and you’ll have a bunch of cheap women taking up your time and resources and never buying anything because that’s what you decided to be true.

Instead of screaming, I very nicely said, “Hey…I gotta stop you here because women are not cheap.  I’m not cheap and the women I know spend tons of money on things they value.

I then explained to her that clearly she had that belief and it must be banished from her language, or that would be her reality.  She got it when I explained the value piece, because here she was paying good $ for coaching, so it must be true.  censor

Now if the word police followed you around for a week, what would they notice coming out of your mouth?  Our beliefs are revealed through the words we use.  (Did I tell you the one where a new client kept referring to her “little business” until I corrected her and requested that she only refer to it as her big business!  AHHHHHH…..This stuff makes me nuts, gang.)

The gift of watching your language is that you become aware of hidden beliefs that are holding you back.

So here is the exercise I suggest – ask someone you are close with to listen for certain things.  They could listen for self deprecating statements you slip out, or they could be on the look out for any statements where you play small – like “my little business”, or a new “little idea.”  Have them give you feedback on that, then correct it immediately.  The goal is to extinguish and correct this language, but you also may have to look at where it’s coming from and if you have some funky energy around something you just don’t know about.  Your language is like the window to this for you.

Truthfully, I just got busted by my mastermind group when I spoke some language that showed some weird energy.  My point is that no matter how evolved you are, how long you’ve been in business, or have been doing personal growth work, your language is rife with those little slippery places where you are showing some of your ’stuff.’  What it takes to change it?  AWARENESS!

That and a sassy business and mindset coach!

Let me know how this lands for you, and what tricks you use to avoid those pesky word police.

Blessings!

Reframing Discipline

Istock_Image_-_Frustrated_Women_in_computer-511x329

dis?ci?pline /?d?s?pl?n/ Show Spelled Pronunciation

“activity, exercise, or a regimen that develops or improves a skill”

It’s Sunday night at 9:30 and the very last thing I want to do is to write this blog!

Nothing personal, but I’m tired and would really prefer to jump into a nice hot tub after a day of doing some de-cluttering in my home and even going for a run.  But I made a commitment when I joined the 30 Day Blog Challenge with Sandra Martini

I would totally have not done this blog.  When you are tired, it’s easy to blow off commitments. Especially when WE are the ones setting the deadlines.  That can be the kiss of death for an entrepreneur.  Newsletter didn’t go out on Tuesday, no worries…it can go on Thursday.  Didn’t get that marketing piece written last month, not a problem…just let it roll next month.  And we do this over and over and over to ourselves.  When we are tired or overwhelmed, we think that entrepreneurial freedom means the ability to push out deadlines.  And this can be a slippery slope!

The challenge is to look at discipline as providing freedom.  Being a bit of a free spirit myself, that has been some hard learning for me.  It’s not my natural way of living, but after doing the blog challenge for five days (and loving that I have kept my commitment to myself) I can see that doing just that one activity will translate into adding new levels of discipline in other areas.  (Did you notice the “I went for a run” comment in the first paragraph?)  Today I embrace discipline as the very thing that will move me closer to my goals.  But what does that word conjure up for you?

My challenge to you my dear readers is to look at your relationship with the concept of discipline.  If you want to improve a skill, where do you need to employ some additional discipline?  When you hear that word, do you get all warm and cozy, or does it feel like a noose around your neck?  Usually it’s the right-brain-creative types who feel like discipline is tantamount to a parent controlling what they get to do.  Not trying to harken you back to your teenage years my friends, but I’m just pushing around to see what you come up with for yourself around this concept.

What I have found to be the best thing to counter this?  Get either a coach or other powerful environment where you are so excited to be doing the work, that you are willing to do things that you normally wouldn’t.  Accountability, community, and commitment are the way out.

There…I did it!  Got the blog done, and am on my way to the tub.  And secretly?  I’m sort of proud of myself.

Blessings!

How cash flow challenges kill your creativity

Do you realize the cost of having financial scarcity in your business?  Beyond the obvious, what I see is that it costs you so much more than you even realize.

It happened to a recent client of mine .

He had contacted me after being referred for coaching by my friend Jen Blackert.  He knew that he needed to have a mindset breakthrough, because he was stuck.  This man previously had two professional careers, but had left those to pursue his dreams of being an Internet marketer.  But after six  months, he was broke.  He had done all the Law of Attraction work, visualizations, affirmations, and everything he needed but still was struggling with not having enough money to pay his bills.

He came asking for some coaching, but when I asked “What is it that you want to accomplish if we work together for six months”….he couldn’t answer.  All he could do was wallow around in what hadn’t worked, where he was stuck, and didn’t have any idea of what to do next.frustrated-man1

See, the problem was that all he could focus his energy on was what what he wasn’t getting. He could not get any clarity around his goals, or what would have to happen if he were able to have the breakthrough that he was seeking.  I work with lots of people here when they first get started with me.  They tend to spin around in the same possibilities that they know right now… as opposed to being able to break free and create something that they would really love.

In his frustration the man said, “Maybe I should just get a part time job to get some of these bills paid.”  Now as a die-hard entrepreneur, the thought of a job is not the first thing I ever think of.  In my mind there is always some way of creating a solution.  But in his case, after I had asked him what he wanted to create/accomplish/achieve, and he was completely focused on the lack, I decided to explore what this would be like for him.

We put it as an option on the table.  I said, “OK, imagine you get a part time job that brings in say…$1000 a month, what is different now?”  This is where my mind-blowing surprise came in - suddenly he knew what he wanted to work on! He “remembered” that he had really wanted to start a membership site, “knew” what his goals were and exactly where he wanted to be in six months.  Instead of being unfocused and having flat and draggy energy, he now became animated and could see a million new possibilities he didn’t have access to just 5 minutes before.

It was in that moment that I saw that his cash flow challenges were the thing that blocked his movement forward.  His constant focus on his problems interfered with his ability to create.  And I learned a huge lesson.  I think there is an “entrepreneurial arrogance” about never having to resort to getting the dreaded J-O-B.  But his commitment to the entrepreneurial dream was also the very thing that was preventing him from getting it!  When we opened the door to just taking a short job for 90 days to plug some of the cash flow leaks, he then was able to move into a place of creating his dream.

Lesson learned!  Do whatever it takes to get out of wallowing in what you don’t have and shift your energy into moving forward.

Here’s to your success……

How do you answer these three big questions?

This is one of those very inspiring client stories that I have the blessing to be a part of.

Ever since I started working with “B” a year ago, he’s been crusty at times.  Occasionally his brusk style is off putting to say the least, but the the transformation that he is going through needs to be shared.

Recently “B” went to a workshop where he heard Brendon Burchard, who wrote the book “Life’s Golden Ticket.”  Brendon is an amazing speaker and a fabulous human being to boot.  Well something clicked for my crusty client.  Perhaps the time being away from the office gave him permission to reflect on his life.

You see, in his talk Brendon asks three powerful questions that he formulated as he had a near fatal car accident years ago.  The questions became the centerpiece of his life’s work:BrendonBurchard2

1.  Have I lived?

2.  Have I loved?

3.  Have I served?

What I didn’t know is that while “B” was quite successful in the business world, his marriage didn’t offer him any happiness.  But being the good family man that he was, he just assumed that he’d hang in.  Little did he know that the trip to hear Brendon would have such an effect on his life.

He shared that when he got home, he could no longer maintain the veil of denial that had kept him stuck.  He was faced with those three questions and so decided to take the leap.  He asked his wife for a divorce and is moving through that with grace.

Now how does this relate to his business?  While I can’t prove it, I would suspect that having to deny an aspect of your life would cause all the other aspects to suffer as well.  Seeing the courage and commitment to Living, Loving, and Serving that “B” has made is inspiring.  I feel him being a different person, and I’m sure the clients he serves will also notice that positive changes.  And it’s also funny that his trip to see Brendon was under the auspices of business.  Do you see that so often it’s the business challenges and opportunities that are the catalysts for massive personal growth for us?  That’s why I always say that the entrepreneurial journey is a spiritual path.

So I will ask you – what is in the way of you living, loving, and serving in a big way?  You can’t take your life out of your business, so in keeping with yesterdays post, what’s next for you?  When you let go of all the ’stuff’ that is no longer serving you, what do you do then?

This is some deep stuff.  The stuff legacies are made of.  What will yours be?  Feel free to leave yours in the comment section of the blog.

Blessings my dear readers.

The 30-day challenge and a serious question for you

Today’s post is about three things – creating powerful environments, accountability, and identity.  Yikes!  Sounds a bit heavy, but keep reading.  It’s all gonna be good in the end, I assure you.

Okay gang, let’s see if I can keep my commitment.

One of the gals in my Women Making an Impact Mastermind group is Sandra Martini.  You’ve probably heard of her as she’s quite the savvy solution for business owners.  Recently  she threw down the gauntlet – a 30 day blog challenge which starts today.  That means that we are to write 30 posts in a 30 day period.ploomy_writing-challenge_vf

Since I’m such a challenge driven-chica….I thought I’d play.  I actually love writing, but have not been making time for it.  I always want to go all “Anne Lamott” with my work, so it’s much like the artist with their canvas versus using the blog for article distribution and marketing purposes.  So Sandy’s challenge is just the the thing I’ve needed to get in gear and start writing.  Her idea is that in 30 days, we will have created a new habit.  How cool is that?

This experiment brings to mind two very important coaching points.  It’s far easier to be successful if you have created for yourself a powerful environment than trying to use your will power.  I liken it to going to a personal trainer who won’t put up with you whining that your legs are getting sore or that you can’t possible do another push up.  Ya see, we give up on ourselves way too easily.  That’s why having the environment of the blog challenge is a great thing for me to get the results I want.

The second piece to this success tip – having accountability!  Just like going to the gym (or in most cases NOT going to the gym) when we are on our own and no one expects us to show up or keep our commitments, it’s way too easy to push deadlines, slack off, get distracted, and ultimately…lose site of the very thing we want.

But Sandy has set up a community and a contest, and I’m going a step further and publicly proclaiming my desires.  That’s a HUGE kick-in-the-pants-to-keep-on-track strategy and I suggest you do that in some area of your life or business.

This all leads me to the real meat of the post today.  It’s 09/09/09.  My friends who are familiar with feng shui have shared that this is a very auspicious day.  (Don’t you love that word!  It means “favored by success, prosperous, or fortunate.”)  It’s auspicious because in numerology, the number 9 is about endings and completions.

That’s what I really wanted to talk to you about today.  My big question to you is this – What do you have to let go of in your life, in your business, with  your health, with your habits or beliefs in order for you to make the rest of this year really be what you want it to be for yourself?

Here’s an example of what your list could look like-

Disorganization and clutter- email – lack of focus – trying to do it all by myself – lack of exercise – lack of putting myself first – spending money – no plan for investing – working too much – poor eating habits – being surrounded by emotionally unavailable people – playing small and safe.

What is it for you?  This is where the rubber hits the road as they say.  I challenge you to take time today and do an inventory of all the ’stuff’ you need to let go of, and then build time into your calendar to make it happen.

And here’s one thing to know…the physical stuff is easy!  Anyone can clear clutter or organize a closet.  It’s those pesky emotional and relational things that can hold us back.  If you are living with a partner who drains  you, or have clients who don’t value you, it takes courage to either cut them loose, or have better boundaries.  But I want to tell you that I am here, cheering you on because I know it can be done.  And if you feel like you need a bit more support – you can check out our InnerGuruExperience and get the tools you need.

So what’s it gonna be?  How are  you going to design your life as we roll in to a new year?  I’m encouraging you to choose higher!  Why don’t you post on the comment section what you are giving up so we can hold that for you?

Here’s to the NEW you……

How to Have a Business Breakthrough – (Waterslide story part 3)

tunnel_june_07_23_470x320

In the first two parts of this “Breakthrough on a Water Slide” series- we talked about the fear, and getting through it, but  let me tell you what happens in business.

After a few years, you reach a certain level of mastery. But then you hit another wall. You have to deal with these three questions -

How do you take yourself from where you are, and really get expert status?.

How do you get to be well known?

How can you have a leveraged business, and have a solid client base.

Those are the questions and the challenges of this stage. At this point having mastery isn’t enough. You ability to attract your ideal clients means you need to have ‘the hook’ of what makes you different, special, unique, etc. For example, it’s not enough just to be a chiropractor. Your success depends on you being able to articulate very clearly why you are better and there has to be enough to differentiate you from the crowd. And this journey is not easy.

When I was trapped in that black tube, with no control and NO WAY OUT BUT THROUGH, it hit me that so many business owners get stuck right here. At times there literally is nothing you can do but surrender to the process. You can’t force, push, control or manipulate your next phase of growth. And here’s the thing – everyone goes through this. If they aren’t talking about it, it doesn’t mean that they haven’t’ been in the dark, not sure how to get out, not sure where the next client is coming from. But being in that tube, and having the experience of just surrendering to the flow, taught me huge lessons. Part of it is in our control, but the rest isn’t. Sure…you can market a bit more, but you will go through some dark times when you are ready to make the leap.

Let me wrap up with my process for how to get on the other side if you are feeling like you are in the dark or aren’t sure how to get over your business blocks.

1. Make a decision. It always starts with the decision. For me it took noticing that my kids were off having fun and I was all alone standing there in the heat, missing out. I decided that my fear would turn into an opportunity for growth. What do you need to decide in your life and business?

2. Ask for help from someone who has been there before you. Thankfully, the lads had been on all the slides so knew which one to start me on. You will be well served by enlisting support from people who are committed to your success, but can show you the way themselves.

3. Use all the tools you have. Truthfully, doing EFT on top of the slide was probably quite funny to some people around me and I’m sure my boys were horrified (cuz aren’t all kids embarrassed by what their parents do) but it worked. I’d make a list right now of the tools that you need to get you through to the other side. Maybe that’s doing some meditation or journaling, or creating a vision board. Just pull ‘em out and start using them.

4.  Put yourself in an environment that will challenge you. I hear from almost every creative entrepreneur that their big breakthroughs don’t happen while sitting in front of their computers!  Get outside. Do something physical.  Change your scenery, and you will open up to new possibilities you had not seen before.

5. Have some fans. Part of the cool thing for me was that my kids saw me conquer a huge fear. In fact my son said, “Mom, does it kind of bug you that you have missed out on water slides and all this fun for fifty years.” Yeah John, it really bugged me, but now I now get to make the next 50 years full of more fun! My kids were super excited and proud. Who is in your life that is cheering you on? When you are going through one of these ‘dark nights’ in your business, there is nothing more important than cheerleaders who can show you how far you have come and what’s possible.

That’s my story!  Now I want you to share yours.  Where did your big breakthrough occur?  And what has changed because of that?  Put a comment on the blog and share please.

Blessings!
